This introductory course seeks to provide an overview of warehousing and inventory management.
It lays the foundation for students to understand and apply various techniques and concepts towards the effective and efficient utilization and movement of inventories.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Define typical warehouse and inventory management terms.
- Describe the role and importance of warehousing and inventory management.
- Comprehend and illustrate the role and importance of supply chain management.
- Compare and contrast the types of inventories.
- State and explain the nine-inventory management activities.
- Calculate and apply key performance measures in warehousing and inventory management.
- Discuss and analyze world trends in inventory management for efficiency.
